Pop Art Revival

Get adventurous as fashion and pop art collide. Think comic book prints, super hero chic with bright and clashing colors. Pop Art and fashion have always gone hand in hand, from the art aspect in fashion illustration to the work of fashion designers such as Patricia Field. Andy Warhol is the main influence behind this trend, Warhol began his career in fashion illustration, he drew inspiration from celebrity culture and brand advertisement. Warhol’s work continues to heavily influence fashion designers of today. He famously once said; “Fashion wasn't what you wore someplace anymore, it was the whole reason for going! Lady Gaga, Cara Delevingne and even Cheryl Cole have been seen rocking this trend. Taking inspiration from Mr Warhol  and this trend, I wore a pop art pencil skirt, red peplum top, neon blazer and red patent shoes.

Splurge Vs Steal

Valentino's strappy, studded shoes are a fashion sensation right now. They are available in different finishes and styles from nude to bright patent pink, these heels are the perfect finishing touch to any outfit. Fashion conscious stars including Kourtney Kardashian, and Olivia Palermo have been spotted in these shoes. The shoes have also graced the pages of Vogue and other high fashion magazines. The shoes are now also available in  leopard print and also come in a flat version, as seen on Alexa Chung. They retail for approx $9,50-$1,100 depending on which website and style chosen.

I have found some great alternatives on this online website Tobi.com for only $52 dollars and they have a nude and a black pair available. Alternatively if you would like the Valentino heels they are available here in array of colors and styles.
