Splurge vs Steal

Riccardo Tisci used to life under the sea as the inspiration for his spring 2012 Givenchy collection. Seen on supermodels like Gisele Bundchen, Natalia Vodianova and Karolina Kurkova the over-sized shark tooth necklaces worn with tailored separates stole the show. Since then it has been featured in many a fashion editorials. The necklace price starts at about $800 (depending on size) and matching bracelet costs $625. River Island currently have a very similar bracelet and necklace costing a fraction of the Givenchy price!

Splurge Vs Steal

I'm a big fan of Givenchy pieces by designer Riccardo Tisci. Riccardo's animal print tees have been a huge success and they really make a statement. The t-shirts have been worn by celebrities such as Kayne West and Rhianna and have sold out everywhere. An original Givenchy t-shirt retails for about $300+ however I have found a great alternative here for only $45....... a real bargain! I wore the T shirt with ripped jeans from Sportsgirl and my fave Asos studded leather jacket.

The Bomber Jacket

It is undeniable that the military has a huge influence on the fashion industry, from aviator sunglasses to my current fave the bomber jacket. Over the years the bomber jacket has gone through spikes of popularity (young Tom Cruise in Top Gun) and it is now experiencing a renewed interest once again. The Bomber jacket has popped up in numerous Resort 13 collections including Givenchy and Alexander Wang.

The Jacket has also been spotted on numerous celebs including Rihanna, Taylor Swift and Kim Kardashian. The 'Varsity' style bomber jacket is particularly popular at the moment however there are a number of different styles and colors available to suit everyone. I picked up a great one online at Glassons.com it has white leather sleeves and a floral pattern on the front which adds a feminine touch. I chose to team it with a leather pencil skirt as I loved how Kim K styled hers.
