Style Crush

Australian model Lara Bingle's style is so simple, chic and minimalist. She tends to stick with black and white colors. Her day to day wear usually involves tanks, tees and dresses, layered perfectly with a blazer, leather jacket or a statement piece. Her style is comfortable and relaxed however effortless at the same time. Lara is also lucky enough to be good friends with some of Australia's top designers and even counts Vogue editor Christine Centenera as a BFF. Its no wonder how she manages to always look so immaculately turned out.

Splurge Vs Steal

I'm a big fan of Givenchy pieces by designer Riccardo Tisci. Riccardo's animal print tees have been a huge success and they really make a statement. The t-shirts have been worn by celebrities such as Kayne West and Rhianna and have sold out everywhere. An original Givenchy t-shirt retails for about $300+ however I have found a great alternative here for only $45....... a real bargain! I wore the T shirt with ripped jeans from Sportsgirl and my fave Asos studded leather jacket.

Statement Necklace

I am on a bit of budget this month but wanted a new outfit so I compromised with myself and brought a new accessory instead a statement necklace from Lovsia. The necklace is stunning and really resembles something famed blogger Dylanex would put together. I wore it with a black peplum skirt and cropped leather top.

The Bomber Jacket

It is undeniable that the military has a huge influence on the fashion industry, from aviator sunglasses to my current fave the bomber jacket. Over the years the bomber jacket has gone through spikes of popularity (young Tom Cruise in Top Gun) and it is now experiencing a renewed interest once again. The Bomber jacket has popped up in numerous Resort 13 collections including Givenchy and Alexander Wang.

The Jacket has also been spotted on numerous celebs including Rihanna, Taylor Swift and Kim Kardashian. The 'Varsity' style bomber jacket is particularly popular at the moment however there are a number of different styles and colors available to suit everyone. I picked up a great one online at Glassons.com it has white leather sleeves and a floral pattern on the front which adds a feminine touch. I chose to team it with a leather pencil skirt as I loved how Kim K styled hers.
